Malow Summer ConstructionAs you are aware, the district began work on the secure entryway to our school. This project has been made possible by the 2018 bond issue that was approved by our community.

After the state mandate to shut down of schools, lockers were relocated and temporary offices built in the lower level of the Media Center in preparation for construction of a new secure entryway. The main office was temporarily relocated into the lower level of the Media Center while construction began on the secure entry way.

There will be no change to what doors students will use to enter and exit the building. However, the walkway used to approach door 1 will be different when we return, and the entryway for parents will be moved to door 2, which is on the opposite side from where you currently enter. Signs will be posted directing students, staff, and visitors.

Once completed, the new secure entryway will add an additional layer of security that is part of our commitment to provide a safe learning environment for Malow Junior High students and staff. The improvements are scheduled to be completed by this fall pending the Governor’s mandates. Mrs. Sanborn has provided some pictures of recent construction work. Thank you again for your support of the 2018 bond issue.
