Four Malow Junior High school students have been selected for a prestigious statewide honors choir.

Kristina Bzhetaj (8), Shaniya Coffee (9), Kendall Bills (8) and Daniela Gardner (7) will perform this January as members of the Michigan School Vocal Music Association’s State Honors Choirs.

Bzhetaj, Coffee and Bills will be part of the 7-8-9 SSA State Honors Choir. The trio learned individual parts of a three-part madrigal and performed it as an ensemble in front of a judge.

Gardner was selected for the 6-7-8 SA State Honors Choir after having a successful duet audition.

The Honors Choirs are comprised of the top singers in the State of Michigan.

The students will now have three Saturday rehearsals across the state and a final performance in DeVos Hall in Grand Rapids as part of the Michigan Music Educators Conference.
