The games, dubbed Hoops for the Holidays, was a charity event to raise money for the Hamlin Pub Adopt-a-Family that supports 40+ UCS families in need for the holidays. The games were full of spirit, fun and friendly rivalry. The crowd was entertained by the Shelby Junior High band, Shelby cheerleaders, and the Eisenhower Eaglettes dance team. There was a large crowd and they were LOUD! Shelby’s 8th grade boys team took home the win while Malow’s 7th grade boys team took home the win.

Fun was had by all, but more importantly, the event raised over $3000 for Hamlin Pub’s Adopt-a-Family that supports 40+ UCS families in need for the holidays. Hamlin Pub has already provided these families with a full Thanksgiving dinner. On December 23rd, a full Christmas dinner as well as gifts for the children will be delivered to their homes. Thank you to everyone who supported the event so that Malow and Shelby were able to help Hamlin Pub provide a magical Christmas for our UCS neighbors in need!
